PRESIDENT’S STATEMENT

As President of the Texas Coalition of Black Democrats Dallas County, I stand at the intersection of legacy and urgency. Our work is grounded in the courage of those who came before us: freedom fighters, community organizers, elected leaders, and everyday people who believed in the power of Black voices, Black votes, and Black leadership. But legacy alone is not enough. The moment we are in demands more.

We are facing a political climate that seeks to erase our history, suppress our votes, and silence our communities. In response, we are building, organizing, and rising. We understand that political power is not given. It is claimed, cultivated, and protected.

The Texas Coalition of Black Democrats Dallas County is not just a political organization. We are a movement. We are a force rooted in truth, driven by purpose, and fueled by the belief that when Black communities thrive, democracy thrives.

We are developing leaders, uplifting our communities, and ensuring that our voices are not only heard but respected and prioritized. We are not here to react to change. We are here to lead it.

To our allies, supporters, and everyone who shares our vision for justice and equity, we invite you to stand with us, work alongside us, and help carry this vision forward. Not just during election season, but every day our freedom is on the line.

When we lead, Texas follows. And when we rise, we rise together.
